AGC of Virginia Elects New Officers

AGC of Virginia recently announced that Michael Cagle has been elected chairman of the Board of Directors. Cagle is active at the state and local levels of AGC. He serves on the AGC Roanoke District Board and served as Roanoke District president in 2014. Cagle is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with a BS in Civil Engineering. He has over 24 years experience in the commercial construction industry and currently serves as executive vice president at MB Contractors, Inc in Roanoke, Virginia.
Ed Bowman has been elected vice chairman of the Board of Directors. Bowman is the president of W. E. Bowman Construction, Inc., a mid-size Hispanic-American owned construction contractor based in Virginia. The company was started by his father in 1970 to specialize in historic restoration projects. Bowman grew up in Richmond, attended Trinity Episcopal School and earned both his bachelor's degree and Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is happily married to Lori Bowman and has three daughters Mollie, Kate and Jane.
Robert W. Lee, III has been elected to serve as vice chairman-elect of the Board of Directors. Lee is the director of preconstruction services at English Construction Company located in Lynchburg, Virginia. English is a fourth-generation family-owned business started in 1909 and provides full service for new construction, renovations, water and waste water, roads, bridges and industrial projects. Lee is a native of Altavista, Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary. He has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. He is happily married to Tammy Lee and has two grown children, Withe and Katherine.
Glenn Thompson of W.M. Jordan Co. in Richmond will serve as immediate past chairman.
