Moss & Associates Completes Historic Concrete Pour at Brickell Flatiron

Moss & Associates, a South Florida Chapter-AGC member, has completed a historic concrete pour at CMC Group’s Brickell Flatiron site, located at 1001 South Miami Ave. The 50-million pound pour took 24 hours to complete.

Throughout the event, 679 crew members worked to transport and pour 600 yards of concrete per hour, a total of 12,500 cubic yards, from 150 trucks. The concrete was supplied from four separate facilities located throughout Miami.

"This was a milestone for Moss and the Brickell Flatiron team," said Scott Desharnais, executive vice president at Moss & Associates. "This pour was the largest one Moss had ever conducted in the United States, and it was possibly the fifth largest pour in the entire Southeast."

The $250-270 million, 64-story luxury condominium building Brickell Flatiron is Moss' 10th Brickell area project and one of five currently under construction in the area. With an expected completion date of September 2019, Brickell Flatiron is an exclusive residence, described as an urban oasis by the developers. Characteristically, it is a slender glass tower soaring over the skyline with a grand lobby, 16-level parking garage, with 549 units on 48 floors of residences, and public amenities.
