Current Builders Announces New Vice Presidents; Promotions Build Next Generation of Leaders
Current Builders, a South Florida Chapter-AGC member, announced that equity partner Scott Remer has been appointed vice president of operations (VPO). The company also announced that equity partners, Aaron Buttress and Ryan Kelley, have each been promoted to vice president of construction (VPC).
"This is an exciting time for Current Builders," says CEO Chip Reid. "2017 marks 45 years of building success, and with these promotions we are proud to continue advancing our next generation of leaders. "These gentlemen are consummate professionals with an average of more than 15 years as members of the Current Builders’ team working on diverse projects including luxury market rate communities, affordable housing renovations and new construction and mixed-use industrial projects."
Remer’s new position will be vital to shaping the company’s growth by implementing new project management and accounting platforms with mobile technology that will streamline procedure, while at the same time creating a more collaborative environment with subcontractors, owners, architects and engineers. Remer will also help expand Current Builders University by ensuring continuous employee training in the areas of scheduling, safety, communication, leadership, and project management. Other goals include developing a proprietary mobile based best practices manual for project managers and superintendents.
"Current Builders has always been on the cutting edge of technology, with our VDC department, paperless environment, and multiple mobile applications for project teams," said Remer. "We will continue to research and implement new technology to increase efficiency, while not losing sight of what really gets the job done, our employees. We will expand the curriculum of our CB University to ensure our people are getting the continuous training they need to be the best at what they do."
Aaron Buttress and Ryan Kelley, advance from their positions as senior project managers to principals-in-charge, where they will set goals, monitor progress and evaluate results to ensure that project team objectives and operating requirements are met and consistent with the needs and vision of the organization.
Buttress oversees the firm’s construction efforts in the industrial, office and renovation market sectors. He is currently managing the Gables Autovault project and will soon begin an industrial warehouse complex in the City of Coral Springs.
Kelley specializes in market rate multi-family projects and is presently the principal-in-charge of the Allure Boca Raton project for TR Danburg. He will soon move to the $76 million, 6600 Main Street Town Center project for The Graham Companies.
