Yesterday morning AGC of America and Willis Towers Watson honored 57 construction firms at the Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) breakfast — where camaraderie wins over competition and people over projects. Keeping the spotlight on construction workers coming home safely every night is of utmost importance, and that’s what the CSEA program does. Seventeen firms received third-place honors. In addition, there were 20 second-place winners and 20 first-place award recipients. From the first-place winners, the "best of the best" or grand award winner was selected. The 2019 recipient is Encore Electric, Inc. Congratulations to Encore and all the winners!

On Wednesday morning at the highly anticipated and well-attended economic outlook and legislative and regulatory session, AGC staffers Ken Simonson, Jimmy Christianson, Jim Young and Sean O'Neil, along with CEO Steve Sandherr, gave the audience a comprehensive industry rundown. From a snapshot of the economy to AGC’s work on immigration, infrastructure and tax reform, it's clear AGC has been hard at work and continues to keep its finger on the pulse of any and all issues affecting the construction industry.

It was the event everyone's been waiting for: the AGC Celebrate Construction party, held Wednesday, April 3, at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Built in 1908, the multi-level feat of construction provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of music (dueling pianos in the speakeasy room), dancing (silent disco!), and plenty of food and drink. It should be no surprise to anyone that AGC did it right in Denver.
