Q. Sharefile.com or yousendit.com: Anyone using them?

A. We used to use YouSendIt but moved to Box.com several months ago. Box has Outlook integration and a very easy to use web portal for collaboration. Some added bonuses with Box:

1. iPad and iPhone app for easy uploading
2. Synchronization program. Have specific folders on your desktop sync to your Box account automatically, and share with others. Even keeps versioning for changed files.
3. Email alerts when a collaborator uploads, downloads, views, etc. shared files.

Box has saved a lot of time on jobsites, especially for photos.

A. We pay by user, and we’re licensed for 10 named users. We use generic accounts so that more people can use the site. Box has been great for deploying iPads to the jobsite, and sync their files back to a server via a Box sync.

A. The 2 gig is free – I sent an email to the house but when I got there instead of showing me something in an Explorer view it opened the pdf. Still digging around as this may only be in the 2gig free view.

A. Is there truly a 2gb/file limit? Not sure when that would be a factor but for that much money would hate to encounter a scenario where it was inadequate.
