Enterprise Construction Software Programs
Q: I would love a quick reply from everyone, with their SHORT LIST (top 3) Enterprise Construction Software programs in use. For example: Accounting, HR, Payroll, CRM, Fleet/Equipment Management, Field Time Entry/Project Management ... ALL UNDER ONE ROOF. If you could let me know what you have seen/used in the past as well, along with any praises or gotchas, that would be great.

A: I come from the equipment side, so I can just recommend programs there. The best that I see:
- Dispatch: HCSS Dispatch
- Inventory management: RentalMan/Wynne Systems (used by United Rentals, Sunbelt, etc.)
- CRM: Salesforce. There is none better currently.
- Field time management: HCSS HeavyJob
(Note: my company has a procurement application for third-party equipment rentals, so I meet with equipment managers, equipment/site superintendents, and construction execs mainly.)
Cheers,

A: Sage 300 for Accounting, HR,PM, Payroll. Uses Crystal reports for customized forms which is a pain to set up but very stable once in place. We don't use an enterprise CRM or Fleet manager.
