Today’s construction software solution landscape is getting rather busy ... and confusing. There are dozens of solutions available today offering functionality around project management, collaboration, document storage and file sharing. There are also Point-solutions which promote the handling of one or more niche tasks very well. This program will examine the various program classifications and how they approach adding value in the project management and field communication and collaboration. This is not so much a critique of specific products within a class as it is a more detailed examination of the product classes and the advantages that each brings to the overall PM, collaboration, and document storage issue. We will also discuss related topics such as long-term storage, security, integration, and access from the field via mobile technology.
