A major milestone was reached on Thursday, July 11, when the agcXML Advisory Board gathered in Chicago, Ill. for a one-day working session and the first in-person Advisory Board meeting.

Key industry players were active and present, from both the construction software vendor community and the contractor community. Facilitated by Burger Consulting Group and with representation from the AGC and the AGC IT Forum Steering Committee, the meeting was a resounding success. The direction was set on key areas and a list of both near and long-term next steps was established . This collaborative session was the first of more to come and served the ultimate goal of the agcXML initiative: to establish interoperability standards in the construction industry that are widely adopted.
