AGC IT CONFERENCE FOR CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONALS

AGC is excited to launch its call for proposals for the 2022 AGC IT Conference for Construction Professionals, to be held at the Gaylord Chicago August 16-18, 2022. It was great seeing everyone back in person last year! We are staying in Chicago for a while and we look forward to seeing you again. Needless to say, we will be following the most up-to-date safety measures to make sure that our attendees, presenters, and sponsors can participate in a safe manner. We do realize though that some things have changed, and if a presenter would prefer to do a remote presentation, we will accommodate it. You will have a chance in the submission form to state your preference.

Our goal remains to offer attendees fresh, cutting-edge information to enhance their conference experience and provide great learning and takeaways along with premier networking and collaboration opportunities. We are working hard ensuring the conference brings to both presenters and attendees the opportunity to engage during and after the sessions.

All proposals must be submitted online using this link by Monday, April 4th, 2022. To submit a proposal you can register for free here, then select the 2022 AGC IT Conference for Construction Professionals Call for Speakers from the list of programs to begin building your proposal. You can submit a maximum of two proposals. If need to submit more than two proposals, reach out to us.

AGC member uses mobile communications to modernize operations and keep workers safe and engaged on the job

While the trial-and-error of managing a workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic was a big eye-opener for employers everywhere, one thing became strikingly clear: keeping frontline workers safe, productive and informed means keeping them digitally connected, global pandemic or not. Especially as hiring shortages and new virus variants threaten the slow tread of global economic recovery, maintaining a strong connection has become increasingly critical for these workforces. The construction industry is no exception.

Connecting the various parts of a construction project is a complex but essential part of operating as a contractor today.

With subcontractors, architects, clients and numerous internal teams all contributing to a project at various phase of the project and information accumulating over the course of the job, the resulting communications may be too numerous and diverse to be easily tracked through outdated legacy technology.

From a business standpoint when investing in construction technology, many businesses get stuck on the question “When will we see our return on investment?” It’s a fair point. However, the return on value is an important aspect when considering business purchases.
