On May 14, President Biden imposed major new tariffs on Chinese EVs, advanced batteries, solar cells, steel, aluminum and medical equipment.
“American workers can outwork and outcompete anyone as long as the competition is fair,” Biden said, "but for too long, it hasn’t been fair."
