To enhance your silent auction experience, NEF has added an online bidding platform. You will now be able to bid from anywhere during the event, yes even your easy chair, with notifications keeping you updated on bids. Don’t worry, all Items will still be available to view at the auction, and the live auction will still take place.
This new platform allows items to be previewed in advance of the event. Due to this new feature, we will require that all donated items that are shipped be received by February 3rd, and that donations brought to METALfab have the completed donation form, description and a picture sent in no later than February 21. All proceeds support the mission of NEF and its programs.

Promoting Industry Partner Success
The December Roundtable Discussion focused on Industry Partners and the value of using NOMMA members as resources and vendors.
Industry Partners can build relationships by sharing information through articles in O&MM Fabricator and commenting on ListServ. This participation also helps build exposure for the Industry Partner.
Members also discussed strategies for connecting and promoting NOMMA's Industry Partners.
Examples included hosting a panel discussion at METALfab or another venue where Fabricators or potential buyers serve as panelists, and providing feedback on how best to approach them in order to build relationships and win their business.

Gold: A2 Fabrication Inc.
Title of Entry: Pier and Promenade Railing
Finish Type: Bead blasted, with galvanized promenade rails
Total Labor Hours: 2973
Materials: 2 1/2" pipe top rail, Pl 1/2" laser cut stanchions, 1 1/4" pipe horizontal frame parts, 1" pipe vertical frame parts, and Carl Stahl Extend2 netting.
This exceptional project was a formidable undertaking on many levels.
Of the 2624 hours of total fabrication time, half was spent on sewing on the netting. A special carriage had to be built to transport the SS side mounted rails in an upright position, and the pier rails were craned into place after the holes were laid out, drilled and epoxy anchors set on the pier’s edge. Unique layout and drilling fixtures were also required, in order to ensure total accuracy.
There was also the challenge of field measuring and detailing the transition from side mounted pier SS rails to surface mounted, galvanized promenade rails.
The breathtaking results are a testament to the hard work, dedication and talent of every member on the team.
