This month, the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) held two public teleconferences to discuss how the agency, which is responsible for construction regulation recommendations made to OSHA, could raise awareness of potential hazards to industry workers.
The agency is also considering updating its current standards, especially for situations that have a particularly high risk, such as trenches and excavation, falls, and opioids.

One common phrase circulating around the country right now is short and sweet: "Wait and see." While it can be unnerving to live with constant uncertainty, more information is being brought to the table each day. For those working in various fields of the construction industry, the best thing to do is to slow down, remain calm, and learn more about the potential impacts that the virus may have now or in the future.

Consistent growth is the backbone of any successful business. It's important to keep moving and innovating, especially as competitors will inevitably enter your market and be looking for customers themselves. But how exactly does growth work? It doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen on its own. It must be planned and carried out over time - and that means implementing a solid growth strategy.

The American workforce is continually evolving, and millennials are shaping the future of manufacturing in a number of key ways. Millennials (those born between 1981-1996) have overtaken the baby boomer generation (those born between 1946-1964) to become the largest generation currently in the American population. Just like all the generations before them, millennials are bringing their own perspectives and expectations to the workforce, and that means the manufacturing industry must learn how it can keep its public perception current and attractive to new hires in this age range.
