NOMMA members are the foundation of this great association. We are looking for testimonials from members about what it means to be a part of NOMMA. If you have any testimonials about being a member, what NOMMA does for you, or even memories from METALfab, we would love to hear them!

NOMMA members each have a membership profile that they are allowed to edit. There are multiple questions where members can enter as much detail as they want. A great reason to have your profile fully updated is that the profile information ties into one of the NOMMA benefits, Find a Fabricator and Find an Industry Partner. The Find a Fabricator and Find an Industry Partner features allow members to search for Fabricators or Industry Partners in specific areas or pertaining to specific types of projects. The more detailed information you have filled out in your profile, the easier it will be for your organization to appear in those searches.

Gold: Emerald Ironworks, Inc.
Title of Entry: Softbox Stair
Materials: Steel and red oak
Finish: Gun blue with a poly overspray
Total Labor Hours: 400
This beautiful mono stringer curved stair and rail was built for a company that manufactures refrigerated containers designed for shipping bio medical products and human transplant organs. Emerald used a 4-by-14 box beam bent to a total of 90 degrees to support the stair. The beams visible at the base of the balcony railings were constructed in shop by plasma cutting the tops and bottoms to match the curve of the balcony, then bending the face to match, and finally welding all of the edges.
The treads were created from 3-inch-thick red oak, coped on the right side to match the curve of the wall, and supported by stanchions welded to the beam with a metal plate routed flush into the bottom of the tread. The project features flat 2-and-a-half-inch handrail, and round grab with 3/16-inch cable for the railings.
