The NOMMA Nominating Committee is seeking volunteer leaders to serve on the NOMMA Education Foundation (NEF) Board of Trustees. NEF is the charitable arm of NOMMA that supports education programs and services for the ornamental and miscellaneous metals industry through its fundraising efforts.
Trustees help to develop and execute fundraising activities and oversee the operations of the Foundation. If you enjoy building relationships and making connections, you should consider volunteering for the Board of Trustees. Fundraising experience is preferred, but not required.

We are excited that 23 registrants attended the educational event at Living Design Studios on May 3-4, to learn about contract manufacturing.
The event, sponsored in part by the NOMMA Education Foundation (NEF), featured a panel of industry experts who shared their experiences incorporating contract manufacturing into their own businesses. Additional breakout sessions, a shop tour, and product demonstrations gave attendees an opportunity to get a deeper dive on the material and address their questions.

Zekelman Industries will invest up to $120 million to expand the manufacturing capabilities and product offerings of its subsidiary Wheatland Tube in Mississippi County, Arkansas. The new facility will produce inline galvanized steel tube products for Wheatland Tube, which will enable the division to meet increased demand for its high-performing domestically manufactured offering.

Federal Register The U.S. Department of Labor has published a final rule clarifying the rights of employees to authorize a representative to accompany an Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance officer during an inspection of their workplace. Effective as of May 1, 2024, the final rule clarifies that, consistent with the law, workers may authorize another employee to serve as their representative or select a non-employee.
