The Annual Meeting of Membership is Going Virtual

Join us for the Annual Meeting of Membership on Thursday, March 25th at 12pm central time. Additional details and instructions on how to attend the meeting will be sent next week. NOMMA members and non-members are encouraged to attend. Current members will vote on the NOMMA Board of Directors slate and revisions to the bylaws.

Consider Donating to the NEF Auction

Don’t miss the opportunity to donate to the virtual NEF Auction. The auction is NEF’s primary fundraising event, which helps to fund education programs for industry professionals. Consider a donation of a work of art, a custom fabricated item, purchased tool or supply or antique pieces. To view a list of ideas or get additional information please visit the website.

The extended donation deadline is Friday, February 26.

To donate, follow these simple steps:

1. Email a high resolution photo, donation form, and tracking information to NEF@nomma.org.

2. Ship your item to the NOMMA/NEF office by Friday, February 26.

3. After the page has loaded, please scroll down where you will see a box titled, “Even More.”

Collections: Getting Paid on Your Projects

In January, Rob Rolves, owner of Foreman Fabricators, shared his experiences in the commercial construction business and the tips and tricks he has implemented to improve collections. He presented ideas on how to secure payment more promptly or sometimes to get paid at all.

Rob offered insight on effective communication methods, having a system for collecting money, and approaching resolutions using the legal system.
