NOMMA News & Events
The 2022 Top Job Contest will open in early September, but there are a few changes you should be aware of. NOMMA is creating a printed magazine of all the 2022 Top Job entries for distribution at METALfab 2022, which will require an earlier entry deadline of Wednesday, December 1, 2021. The publication will be used to assist with onsite voting. It will also be mailed and emailed to the membership for those not in attendance. Because of the earlier submission deadline, there is one set of entry fees of $90 per submission and $140 per joint venture. Start thinking about which of the 17 categories you will enter. Submissions must represent work completed within the past two years. To view Top Job Contest rules and more, visit www.nomma.org/page/topjob.

Volunteering is a great way to connect with fellow industry professionals, build leadership skills, and give back to your industry. NOMMA has several opportunities for you to share your knowledge and expertise by volunteering at the chapter level, participating on a committee, or serving on the Board of Directors or NEF Board of Trustees. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the 2022 Volunteer Leadership Application: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M33TLH6. The application should take approximately fifteen minutes to complete and will request a short professional bio and photo. Individuals selected for consideration on the Board of Directors or Board of Trustees will complete an interview process. Gold: Maynard Studios Title of Entry: Chesapeake Bay Table Materials: Steel, bronze, and reclaimed oak Finish: Wirebrushed steel with clear enamel topcoat Total Labor Hours: 93 Maynard Studios designed this unique console table to complement a railing they made several years prior, while still standing on its ownmerits. The forged steel “sashes” and arch frieze were used to soften the table’s rectilinear shape. These features were designed to also work with elements in a favorite painting that the client wished to hang on the wall above. Congratulations to Maynard and another gorgeous job well done!
