The NOMMA Education Foundation (NEF) knows the importance of having access to education in your area. Did you know that NEF offers $10,000 in grants to help chapters and members host education and training? Grants can be used to cover expenses related to education programming, such as speaker fees and room rentals. If you don’t have a chapter in your area, two NOMMA member companies can apply for a grant to host an educational program. Learn more about the grants and how to apply by visiting www.nomma.org/page/NEF-grants.

To gather feedback on the type of projects that NOMMA members are working on (such as elevator enclosures, sky bridges etc.), the Code Advocacy Committee has developed a quick Code Advocacy Membership Survey. The information will help NOMMA gather data on the necessity of pursuing a committee position with the Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities, ICC (ASC A117). This survey will only take a couple of minutes to complete.

SupplyChainBrain Market volatility continues to impact the metals industry, propelling the search for new risk management and revenue growth solutions. To help combat the effects of the pandemic, global labor/transportation shortages and international conflicts, innovative supply chain trends are becoming more popular. These include:
- Digital technologies - such as digital marketplaces, AI, and collaborative tools.
- Global trade - growing interest continues, although the trade system is more complex now due to factors such as tariff and trade policy changes and fluctuating currency exchange rates.
- Sustainable business practices - efforts to reduce waste, improve efficiency and employ renewable energy sources such as wind and solar are a few of the top focuses in 2023.
