Someone broke into a West Ashley pawnshop and stole $2,000 worth of jewelry while the shop owners were dealing with the impacts of Tropical Storm Irma.

Two burglars entered Volusia Gold & Diamond, 536 W. International Speedway Blvd. through the air-conditioning vent and stole jewelry and a total of 35 handguns. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Agents are offering a reward of up to $4,000, which will be matched by the foundation for a total reward of up to $8,000, according to an ATF media release.
