Earlier this year the Biden Administration issued an Executive Order on America’s Supply chains, which focuses on the supply chains for several groups of commodities and services, with the goal of strengthening these supply chains. One of the listed areas was the production of agricultural commodities and food products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened comments requesting information on America’s food supply chain, and NPMA will be providing comments on the essential role pest management plays in ensuring that food, as well as the facilities that process and sell it, are kept pest free. The rule originally called for comments this Friday, but USDA has made the decision to extend an additional 30 days to allow interested parties time to prepare comments.
