Last week, EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs announced that the comment period for Sulfuryl Fluoride Draft Interim Re-Entry Mitigation Measures and Registration Review Draft Risk Assessments will be extended for an additional 60 days. More than 40 letters requesting extension requests were received by the agency from entities such as pest control companies, registrants, universities, pest control regulatory officials, state pest control associations and NPMA. The comment period is now scheduled to close on September 23. NPMA is working closely with fumigators, registrants, state associations, regulators and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive comments for EPA in response to their proposals.
