The American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE) met in conjunction with the PACT (Pesticide Applicator Certification and Training) Meeting, coordinated through an EPA grant to Michigan State University, the National Pesticide Safety Education Center (NPSEC) and the Migrant Clinicians Network. The goal of the PACT meeting is to provide State Lead Agencies (SLAs) and Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) staff and other stakeholders with the most up-to-date regulatory information to support implementation and compliance assistance. NPMA participated in the meetings along with SLAs and PSEPs and had the opportunity to brief the AAPSCE Board of Directors (chaired by AAPSE President and NPMA Secretary Faye Golden) and the AAPSE Issues and Evaluation Committee on the impacts of EPA’s proposed sulfuryl fluoride label language mitigation.
