In late May, EPA has published Draft Interim Re-Entry Mitigation Measures to the Sulfuryl Fluoride Registration review docket and has requested comments. View the draft interim proposal here.
The proposed mitigation procedures included:
- Removing references to ineffective clearance devices from product labels; retain effective devices
- Adopting measures comparable to the existing California Aeration Plan (CAP) method used in the state of California including:
- Enhancing posting/warning signs; require greater visibility and at all tarp seams
- Requiring Fumigation Management Plans for residential fumigations
- Enhancing stewardship plans
This week, NPMA, along with various state associations, fumigators, registrants and distributors commented on the proposal with a unified voice. To read NPMA’s comments, click here.
