NPMA VP of Public Policy Ashley Amidon spoke to participants at the Pesticide Regulatory Education Program course this week. Participants are regulators selected from applicants across the country and represent pesticide regulatory agencies from 25 states, territories, and tribes. NPMA covered how to communicate pesticide issues to legislators and helped regulators understand how best to share the public health benefits pesticides provide. Participants used WV 4644 as a case study to help understand how legislators can misunderstand our industry and the essential work we do. NPMA continues to build strong relationships with policymakers around the country through speaking to groups like this.
