On Thursday, December 15th, NPMA hosted a meeting with the Public Policy Committee, SPARs, and State Association Leadership to coordinate industry’s responses to EPA’s Rodenticides Proposed Interim Decisions (PIDs). During our meeting, NPMA staff highlighted the importance of state associations submitting comments to EPA that reflect the unique impacts that the PIDs would have on member companies in their states. In early January, NPMA will be sharing resources with state associations, including templates for submitting comments and high-level industry talking points. If your state association chooses to develop comments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to NPMA for assistance submitting those comments on your state association’s behalf (reach out to J.D. Darr at jdarr@pestworld.org).
As of now, comment submissions are due by February 13th, 2023, and we encourage state associations to hold off until February 13th to submit. NPMA has requested a 60-day extension to the public comment period; however, please plan on having your state association’s comments finalized before the February 13th due date. We will notify relevant stakeholders if industry is granted the extension.
