State-level Pesticide Preemption to be included in the Pesticide Policy Coalition’s Farm Bill Priorities

This week, the Pesticide Policy Coalition unanimously agreed to include state-level pesticide preemption in their 2023 Farm Bill Priorities. The Pesticide Policy Coalition is a group of 50+ trade associations, businesses, and state departments of agriculture who support development and implementation of public policies and laws that utilize the best available science and technology in ensuring protection of human health and the environment. The support of the Coalition will allow us to amplify NPMA’s voice on Capitol Hill, and also demonstrate that the absence of state-level pesticide preemption is burdensome to many industries, not just our own.
