The Virginia Pest Management Association is very excited to launch our very own Leadership Enrichment Action Program – otherwise known as VPMA LEAP! Modelled after the Georgia Pest Management Association’s (GPCA’s) Leadership program, the VPMA LEAP is a new and innovative 3-part program spanning many topics from personal and team leadership, to overall organizational leadership. The inaugural class of 20 students will meet for three sessions, once in November 2018 and two additional times in February and May of 2019. Each session lasts approximately 2 ½ days and will be led by Mark DiNunzio, VPMA’s LEAP Trainer who happens to also be GPCA’s current Leadership Program trainer. Participants will identify and develop leadership characteristics and skills as Mark delves into the following topics:
• Understanding Behaviors, Influence, Communications and Strengths
• Developing Strategic Thinking, Strategies, Objectives and Action Planning
• Leading Innovation, Decision Making and Driving Change
At the end of the program, students are given an “implementation tool-box” which assists them in putting into action all they have learned through this program!
VPMA PMPs are given priority, but anyone interested in applying to the VPMA LEAP Program is welcome to do so by August 1, 2018. Click here for a brochure, or here for an application!
