ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 21, 2019) — Tony Massey, President of Massey Services, is pleased to announce that Tom Jarzynka, Senior Director of Pest Prevention and Quality Assurance, has been awarded with the 2019 Crown Leadership Award presented by Pest Control Technology (PCT) and Syngenta. Jarzynka is the sixth Massey Services team member to receive this prestigious award.
Now in its 31st year, the Crown Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have contributed to the development of the pest management industry and have established strong relationships with fellow business leaders, civic groups and customers in their local communities.
“We’re extremely proud of Tom for receiving this honor,” said Tony Massey, President of Massey Services. “Tom is a talented coach and leader. When he isn’t coaching or training our team members, he’s focused on developing new and innovative ways to improve our systems and protocols. Tom’s passion for our industry and our company is evident in all that he does.”
Jarzynka, a 37-year veteran to the pest industry, joined Massey Services in 2000 and played a crucial role in developing the company’s bed bug heat remediation process. The process would go on to be patented with Jarzynka’s name on it. Additionally, he serves on the Quality Pro Board of Directors for the National Pest Management Association along with their Commercial Committee and P3 Steering Committee, which proactively reviews current and future trends to determine how NPMA can respond to the industry’s emerging needs.
Jarzynka has been featured in a variety of media outlets as a pest management professional and bed bug expert. He is a frequent speaker at many events that involve bed bugs. Jarzynka is an associate certified entomologist and a certified operator in Florida, Texas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
