NPMA DEI Task Force Inaugural Meeting

The National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA) member-driven Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force met for the first time on October 15, 2021. This Task Force was created to help to facilitate discussions on industry needs, and what NPMA can do as an association to assist member companies and the industry in this critical business area. For the first meeting, members of the Task Force engaged in connecting and community building. It was a successful meeting that built the foundation for the Task Force. During the meeting, it quickly became clear that members of the Task Force and NPMA are committed to an inclusive pest control industry, so that we can compete in the highly competitive labor market and attract employees from every background. We are looking forward to the next meeting on December 13, 2021.

“Last week initial DEI Meeting was inspiring.  The combination of NPMA Task Force members and the professional facilitators from KJCG is equivalent to an all-star sport team.  Everyone there was engaged and excited to be part of this group making an important difference in the pest control industry.” -  Joel Nolasco, Co-Chair, NPMA DEI Task Force.

“The clear takeaway from the inaugural meeting is that NPMA is committed to an environment where all people within the pest control industry are valued. Working collectively to break down barriers and support member companies is going to help this industry not only survive but thrive in the highly competitive labor market.” - Erin Richardson, Co-Chair, NPMA DEI Task Force.
