Group educates consumers on the threats posed by termites and shares pest prevention tips
The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), the consumer marketing arm of NPMA, leads the charge on educating Americans on the threats posed by pests and the importance of working with a pest control professional through its consumer media relations efforts.
In its most recent PPMA Update, a monthly newsletter shared with investors and supporters, the group reported September media coverage highlights, which included an Austin American-Statesman article from August, which included insights about rodents from NPMA, running in the print edition three more times with an additional placement by Food Maker.
As we entered fall, PPMA continued to share its bi-annual Vector Sectors™ list followed by its Fall & Winter 2022 Bug Barometer® forecast. KSWB-TV, the FOX affiliate for San Diego, CA, highlighted the Vector Sectors™ predictions for their area while KTVN-TV Online shared NPMA’s Bug Barometer® forecast developed by PPMA for the Reno, NV region.
NPMA’s experts also discussed spotted lanternflies in an article on the Lexington Herald-Leader Online, which also appeared in the print edition and on News Break. They also shared seasonal pest prevention tips and discussed how invasive species can travel to new environments in a segment on KRCR-TV, the ABC affiliate for Chico, CA.
NPMA’s “Will They Eat It?” series was showcased in an article on Nerdist, which included several links to the videos on NPMA’s YouTube channel. Additional coverage this month includes an article from The Spruce about termites and an article on pest prevention tips from House Digest, which was picked up by MSN Lifestyle and News Break.
