This week, NPMA staff attended the D.C. Department of Health’s 2-Day Rodent Academy featuring urban rodentologist Dr. Bobby Corrigan. Over the course, staff learned about proper sanitation tips, active rodent signs in homes and businesses, house mouse control, a guide to using (or not) rodenticides, and applying the knowledge in a rodent walk-about in the city. They heard updates and presentations from other D.C. departments on new changes and pest control companies on their current canine rodent control program. Staff enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the knowledge and tools our members use in their day-to-day operations.
