SB 1735 was recently introduced in Oklahoma and reads, “Termite bait or baiting systems may be used as a treatment for structural pests prior to construction of a new structure.” This is a positive development for our industry and OK SPAR Roger Graham is heavily engaged.
S.272 proposes to transfer the oversight and administration of the Pesticide Advisory Council from the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets to the Department of Health. The bill would also amend the membership of the Pesticide Advisory Council. The aim of the bill seeks to reduce the use of pesticides and hopes that the Department of Health will meet this goal.
