On March 16-17, NPMA members will meet with their members of Congress virtually– providing opportunities to promote the pest management industry and advocate for issues important to us.
Join us in trumpeting the positive effect we have on public health and pushing back against arbitrary pesticide regulations. Your voice as a constituent is what amplifies the work NPMA staff does year round. Attending Legislative Day will give you an opportunity to hear the issues, talk with your state and federal representatives, and make a difference.

Last week, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee questioned President Biden’s nominee for EPA Administrator. During the hearing, which lasted just under three hours, Regan confirmed repeatedly that under his watch, the Agency would rely on stakeholder input, transparency, and adherence to the law to guide its work. His repeated promise to include stakeholders and follow science were positive indications that EPA under his leadership will continue to engage with industry on important policy issues. The hearing had few contentious moments and it was clear that Regan was headed toward confirmation based on the praise he received from Senators from both parties. It was also readily apparent the EPA was eyeing climate change, environmental justice and clean air issues as their focal points in the immediate future. A confirmation vote has not yet been taken to allow the nominee to respond in writing to questions submitted by Senators. The vote could come as early as next week, though impeachment proceedings may impede the confirmation process. For additional analysis click here.
