The Supreme Court has just ruled that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) vaccine mandate covering federal contractors and companies with more than 100 employees is not allowed to proceed. The mandate went into effect Monday, but companies will now not have to comply with this Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS.) If your company holds federal contracts or had 100 employees or more, then you do not have to comply with the OSHA vaccine mandate.
However, the court has allowed the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) ETS to proceed. The rule has new effective dates outlined below. This ruling was only on the staying of these rules, not on the merits of either case, so it is possible that either or both cases could come before the Court at a future date on the merits.

U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in rankings and consumer advice, recently released its 2022 Best Jobs list, and exterminator placed in the top 10 in the maintenance and repair category. As you know, NPMA has been hard at work with its Workforce Development Program, helping to increase pride and professionalism in the industry and encourage potential job seekers to search for employment opportunities on its exclusive job board for NPMA member companies.
“We’re extremely pleased to see exterminator, or pest control technician, listed among the top ten best maintenance and repair jobs by U.S. News & World Report,” said Cindy Mannes, senior vice president of public affairs for the National Pest Management Association. “Two years ago, a job in pest control still carried a negative connotation and was not considered a meaningful and rewarding career path. This ranking demonstrates the industry, and our program is gaining momentum in shifting public perception and working seamlessly with our other marketing efforts at play.”
