NPMA, MSPCA, and MD SPAR Lucas Carnohan are working hard with industry partners to oppose SB 268, as this legislation would transfer pesticide regulatory authority from the Department of Agriculture to the Department of Environment. There would be a large and concerning knowledge gap along with a plethora of unintended consequences if this authority were to be transferred. We are heavily engaged. Hearing on 2/2.
Registration is NOW open for the 2022 Legislative Day, March 13-15 at the Capital Hilton in Washington DC. NPMA’s legislative and advocacy work in 2022 will be crucial as we set the framework for our industry to be properly represented in the 2023 Farm Bill. Your attendance and participation at Legislative Day 2022 is important. Let the voice of pest management be heard and register today.
