Each year PWIPM raises over $1,000 at the annual PWIPM 5k Fun Walk/Run held at PestWorld. Proceeds from the PWIPM 5K Fun Run/Walk will benefit a charity nominated by you. NPMA is looking for your assistance to help identify the most innovative and exciting speakers for PestWorld 2022. This year's event will be held at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts on October 11-14, 2022.

NPMA Comments on Beneficial Owner Rule on Behalf of the Industry

NPMA submitted comments on the beneficial owner proposed rule, which was put out for comment by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) under the direction of the Department of the Treasury. This rule is based on the ILLICIT CASH Act that NPMA members lobbied against during the 2020 Legislative Day. Unfortunately, this problematic bill became law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and is now working its way through the regulatory process. This is the first of three rules that will be promulgated on this topic, and NPMA made sure to comment, sharing how the lack of clarity will certainly impact businesses forced to comply with this rule. Join us in Washington, DC March 13th-15th for an exciting in person program, followed by virtual hill visits on Wednesday, March 16th. When we receive your registration, we will contact your Congressional representative to request a virtual appointment between 9am and 4pm on Wednesday, March 16th. Remember, the sooner you register, the more likely you are to see your elected officials.

Effective March 1, Washington DC will lift both its masking and vaccine mandates for all indoor venues. However, masking is strongly encouraged while at Legislative Day. For more information, visit here.
