TikTok ad campaign garners 20% increase in followers
The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), the consumer marketing arm of NPMA, is known for its year-round communications campaigns to educate the American public about the value of partnering with a pest control professional for their homes and businesses.
To meet consumers where they are, PPMA utilizes digital advertising campaigns to educate consumers on the threats pests pose to both their health and home. The group runs advertising campaigns on popular social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest YouTube and TikTok. They also utilize content syndication where PestWorld.org articles are republished by a third-party website – most notably news outlets like CNN and The New York Post.
In its most recent PPMA Update, a monthly newsletter shared with investors, the group shared their Q1 social media advertising campaigns have been gaining steam. In February, the timely digital campaigns captured an impressive 2.9 million impressions across Facebook, YouTube and TikTok – an 81% increase compared to January’s performance! The group’s TikTok engagement campaign generated a nearly 20% spike in PestWorld’s TikTok followers since last month. Lastly, PPMA’s content syndication campaign amassed over 6.8 million impressions, successfully driving consumers to PestWorld.org as well as their many microsites, including OutOfSight.org.

NPMA Vice President of Public Policy Ashley Amidon travelled to Charleston WV recently to join a meeting organized by WVPMA to lobby the Governor against signing WV HB 4644 into law. This bill would allow anyone to apply pesticides commercially without any training, a businesses license, or any registration with the state, and will pose serious challenges to public health protection. WV SPAR Nick Raschella has been instrumental in leading the WVPMA efforts to fight this bill, but unfortunately despite emails, calls and letters, the bill has passed both chambers and is now with the Governor. Multiple WVPMA and NPMA members were on hand to join the meeting, where the Governor’s office was urged to veto this bill. The Governor has until March 30th to sign or veto all bills, so NPMA will continue to provide support to the WVPMA during this time as we continue to advocate for a veto.
Join men and women from across the pest control industry for this phenomenal event designed to leave you inspired, empowered, and invincible. Programming includes sessions on company culture, employee engagement, leadership development, and more. Along with ample opportunity for peer discussions on critical topics, networking, and social activities, the Women’s Forum is your opportunity to learn about creating an inclusive environment and recognizing the contributions of all stakeholders.
