Facebook Live Chat highlights how pests survive the winter
The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), the consumer marketing arm of NPMA, has developed a strong organic presence on social media over the years to educate the public about the value of partnering with a pest control professional for to protect their health, homes and businesses.
Social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest are forms of shared media which allows PPMA to craft their own message and communicate it directly to their audience. In its most recent PPMA Update, a monthly newsletter shared with investors, PPMA shared that their PestWorld social media properties garnered over 467,000 organic impressions in February. Content on the pages highlighted seasonal pests including spiders, termites and cockroaches.
Additionally, Dr. Mike Bentley, an expert entomologist for the National Pest Management Association, hosted a Facebook Live Chat on the PestWorld page to showcase what happens to pests like ants, mosquitoes, and cockroaches during the winter months, along with prevention tips and a reminder for viewers to always work with a licensed pest control professional.

During the meeting, NPMA discussed topics including the registration review status for rodenticides and structural fumigants, future training workshop topics, and state pesticide preemption. If you have questions about these topics, contact Jim Fredericks at jfredericks@pestworld.org.
