NPMA’s Workforce Development Program has been working to highlight the resiliency of pest control during times of economic uncertainty. Approximately three percent of the general workforce is leaving their jobs each month in search of something new, so communicating to potential job seekers about the benefits of pest control is crucial during this period.
NPMA’s external marketing and digital paid campaigns are focused on building awareness and driving traffic to the exclusive job board for NPMA member companies. The consumer-facing media highlights the significance of pest control in protecting our daily lives. So long as pests continue to pose a threat to our businesses, homes and loved ones, pest control will remain a necessary solution.

It’s National Volunteer Month and we want to extend a massive thank you to our volunteers who serve on our board, committees, and interest groups. Your time and efforts strengthen and advance this association and industry.
We appreciate all you do!
The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) encourages NPMA members to celebrate National Pest Management Month, an annual observance recognized by Chase’s Calendar of Events highlighting the vital role pest control plays in protecting public health, food and property from the threats posed by pests. PPMA investors can utilize the National Pest Management Month investor toolkit on Mainframe to spread the word about the important work that our industry does. To learn more about Mainframe, powered by PPMA, or how to get connected with PPMA, contact Jim Fredericks jfredericks@pestworld.org.
Last week, NPMA staff attended an event to welcome new members of the Congressional Black Caucus. Later in the week, we had a one-on-one breakfast with Rep. Jim Baird (R-IN-14), who serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Research, and Biotechnology. And finally, NPMA staff attended a fundraiser for Sen. Deb Fisher (R-NE) and Sen. John Thune (R-SD), who are both influential members of the Senate Committee on Agriculture.
NPMA staff are also following up on all action items and follow-ups from NPMA members' Legislative Day meetings. Thank you to everyone who filled out our meeting feedback form!
