NPMA’s Workforce Development program embraces National Decision Day as an opportunity to celebrate all, including those who are making alternative decisions in their post-grad endeavors. A significant percentage of graduating seniors are choosing to dive straight into the workforce after graduating rather than heading to college. This poses an opportunity for the pest control industry to welcome a new generation into its workforce. Join us in celebrating our high school graduates this year who are entering our industry. Learn more about the competitive benefits of entering pest control post-graduation.

This week, NPMA staff attended the annual Malaria Champions Breakfast, hosted by United to Beat Malaria, which is a global grassroots campaign of the UN Foundation that brings together a diverse set of partners, influencers, and supporters across the U.S. and around the world to take urgent action to end malaria. At the event, attendees heard from Sen. John Boozman (R-AR), who is the Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS).
Also this week, NPMA staff attended a meet-and-greet with Rep. Gabe Vazquez (D-NM-2), who is a freshman Congressman on the House Agriculture Committee. Events like these are a great way for NPMA to introduce ourselves to newly-elected members of Congress and discuss the great work that the pest management industry is doing to protect food, health, and property.
