NPMA has released its first IDEA Quarterly Update. NPMA has been at the forefront of championing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) within the pest management industry. Through strategic committee leadership and innovative programs, NPMA has made significant strides toward creating a more inclusive and accessible environment for all stakeholders.
The Pest Management Foundation offers multiple scholarship opportunities for students as a part of their mission to support education, research, and outreach in urban entomology and structural pest management. The application period is now open, and all applications are due by November 30, 2023.
To inform consumers about the serious health threats posed by pests, the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), the consumer marketing arm of NPMA, utilizes public service announcements to share this important health messaging with Americans. In its most recent PPMA Update, a monthly newsletter shared with investors, they reported their July PSA results: 6,529 new TV and radio airings which resulted in 44 million impressions, worth an estimated $2.6 million in media value. Additionally, their new live-action PSA “Hide and Seek” hit TV and radio stations the last week of July, and it has already garnered over 400,000 impressions.
