Late last month, the EPA published its Draft Biological Evaluation (BE) on Rodenticides, which is part of the registration review process but is NOT the Agency’s Interim Decision, which we still expect in mid-late summer of 2024. Included in the draft BE is a set of geographically specific mitigation measures for rodenticides, which NPMA has reviewed and plans to submit public comments on. Read NPMA’s analysis of the draft BE’s (PDF).

The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), the consumer marketing arm of NPMA, has developed a strong organic presence on social media over the years to educate the public about the value of partnering with a pest control professional for to protect their health, homes, and businesses. In its most recent PPMA Update, a monthly newsletter shared with investors, PPMA shared that, in the wake of the bed bug outbreak in Paris, the group took a proactive approach and rode the wave of this trending topic across their social channels. As a result, their famous bed bug-hatching video was re-posted to TikTok and generated over 2.6 million views and 64.5K likes.
