Pest management professionals from across the nation made their voices heard on Capitol Hill during NPMA’s annual Legislative Day Program with record-breaking attendance of over 450 pest management professionals! Attendees had the opportunity to see an exciting lineup of Keynote speakers and network with colleagues during fun-filled receptions. Over 220 attendees also met with nearly a multitude of members of Congress and their staff in person on the Hill to discuss the importance of pesticide preemption.

Dwight Reynolds of Rentokil-Terminix has been named the 2024 Policy Person of the Year. This annual award is sponsored by FMC and was presented to Dwight at NPMA's Legislative Day. Reynolds, who serves as Group Compliance Manager for Rentokil-Terminix, has over 30 years of experience in pest control. Throughout his time in the industry, Dwight has served in various leadership roles in both the Arkansas Pest Management Association and NPMA, including serving on the Board of Directors for APMA, and on the Public Policy Committee for NPMA.
Congratulations to Jeff Keller, ACE PCQI, who has been named the 2024 David Cooksey PestVet of the Year. Keller, who serves as Technical Services Director for Burns Pest Elimination in Phoenix, Arizona, was presented with the award at NPMA's Legislative Day.
The award, sponsored by FMC, was created to honor a veteran who has helped strengthen the role of pest management. He has been a pioneer in developing programs with NPMA and his state association to connect veterans to careers in pest control and assisted NPMA in becoming officially approved as a Department of Defense SkillBridge Partner.
This week, NPMA announced the ninety-two recipients of their 2024 NPMA Impact Awards for Women in Pest Management. The Impact Awards, awarded for the first time in 2022 and sponsored by FieldRoutes, honor and celebrate exceptional women at all levels within the pest management industry. Recipients will be honored during NPMA’s Women’s Forum, May 7-9 in Atlanta, GA.

We are now accepting applications for the Executive Leadership Program Class of 2025! The Executive Leadership Program (ELP) identifies and trains aspiring association leaders to establish a pipeline of engaged members that represents NPMA’s diverse membership. The two-year curriculum involves professional development, association training, monthly mentoring, and attendance at NPMA events. The deadline to submit your applications is November 15, 2024.
