The Capital Beltway, which surrounds Washington, DC, in Maryland and Virginia, is in need of major repairs. Or, as The Washington Post recently wrote, it's "dying beneath your turning wheels." The newspaper's article on the state of the roadway and how to address the problem generated a lot of reader response - more than 1,300 comments and counting.
