CDL, Medical Card Merger Rule Extended Until 2015

Last Friday, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) extended the effective date of its 2008 final rule requiring commercial motor vehicle drivers to submit their medical certification cards to their state vehicle departments, instead of just carrying them on their person. The new rule’s effective date is now January 30, 2015.
