Kentucky Design Professionals Briefed on Resilient Construction

NRMCA Vice President of Sustainability Tien Peng recently gave a presentation at the AIA-CSI (American Institute of Architects and Construction Specifications Institute, respectively) joint Trade Fair in Louisville, KY. The Disaster Resilient Construction presentation was directed at design and construction professionals from the commonwealth concerned with the growth threat of natural disasters. Approximately 30 design, construction and insurance professionals attend the session. Peng was invited to speak at the event by Brett Ruffing, technology & education specialist for the Kentucky Ready-Mixed Concrete Association. Ruffing’s strong involvement in the local chapter of the US Green Building Council allowed him to offer topics relevant to the conference and the industry.
