NRMCA Member Meets with Incoming Senate Majority Leader

On Wednesday, December 3, NRMCA participated in a Highway Materials Group meeting with incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). Jim Spaulding, of Irving Materials Inc., Bardstown, KY, represented NRMCA at the meeting and spoke about the importance of long-term certainty for the construction industry in the Highway Program. At the meeting, Incoming Leader McConnell told the group that the Highway Program was a priority for him in the coming year. Other members of the Highway Materials Group include the American Concrete Pavement Association, National Asphalt Pavement Association, Portland Cement Association, Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, Association of Equipment Manufacturers, Associated Equipment Distributors and the National Sand, Stone, and Gravel Association.
