Digging the Buried Treasure Beneath Asphalt Overlays

Road agencies and contractors are utilizing the "buried treasure" that lies concealed under asphalt roadways. The process has a name, Concrete Pavement Preservation, because it reclaims assets that have been previously hidden below grade. The technique involves uncovering portland cement concrete pavement which was overlaid wth asphalt due to non-structural issues such as poor ride quality and excess tire/pavement noise.
