Michigan State Research Facility Site of Large Concrete Pour

What's a FRIB and why is it good news for the ready mixed concrete industry? The Facility for Rare Isotope Beams is under construction on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing - it requires concrete walls that will measure 14 feet thick. And while the FRIB won't operate until at least 2020, the concrete poured on one day recently was the largest placement of the entire project - about 350 mixer trucks' worth.
