NRMCA’s Pavement Engineer Amanda Hult recently presented the
Design of Concrete Pavements to the Colorado chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The dinner event was well attended by civil engineers throughout the community as well as students from the local engineering colleges, Hult reported. She presented basic design information on conventional concrete for parking lots and streets and local roadways as well as concrete overlays, pervious and roller compacted concrete. NRMCA’s
Design Assistance Program (DAP) was presented to the attendees as a free service provided to designers. One of the engineers in attendance thanked Hult for this service as he along with many others in his office were not familiar with the ACI 330 and 325 design procedures.
