NRMCA Board Chairman Allen Hamblen has written an opinion essay titled
Why We Fight for Concrete that was sent to media outlets in the Pacific Northwest.
The News Tribune of Tacoma, WA, the state's second largest newspaper, posted the essay. Mr. Hamblen's essay was posted on the paper's Web site March 25. In addition to serving on NRMCA's Board, Mr. Hamblen is president and CEO of NRMCA Producer member CalPortland Company, which is the largest ready mixed concrete producer in Washington State.
